JOHNS CREEK, Ga. -- U.S. Senator Johnny Isakson will be the keynote speaker at the next North Fulton Chamber of Commerce Eggs & Enterprise breakfast.

Isakson began his business career in 1967 when he opened the first Cobb County office of Northside Realty. He served as president of the family-owned company for 20 years, overseeing its growth into the largest independent residential real estate brokerage company in the Southeast.

Isakson entered politics in 1974, serving 17 years in state legislature and two years as chairman of the Georgia Board of Education. In 1999, he was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives. He served three terms before being elected to the U.S. Senate in 2004 and 2010.

As a businessman, public servant and family man, Sen. Isakson has been a leader in Georgia for more than 30 years. He and his wife, Dianne, have been married since 1968 and have three grown children and nine grandchildren. They live in Marietta and attend Mount Zion United Methodist Church, where Isakson taught sixth-grade Sunday school for three decades.
