Johns Creek Presents 'Super CPR Saturday'

JOHNS CREEK, GA -- In conjunction with American Heart Month, Johns Creek's "Super CPR Saturday" returns on Feb. 26.

This day of free lifesaving classes, which is part of the city's Heart Ready program, teaches local residents and business owners how to perform CPR and use an AED.

The classes will be taught by Johns Creek firefighters and paramedics at 10:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. at the Newtown Community Clubhouse (Newtown Park, 3115 Old Alabama Road, 30022).

The non-certification classes are recommended for people ages 10 and older. To reserve a spot, call 678-512-3221.

Johns Creek's Heart Ready program is made possible by partnerships with the American Heart Association and Emory Johns Creek Hospital. Since 2008, it has placed 48 AEDs in public spaces and police vehicles, and trained over 700 people in bystander CPR and AED use.
