Students Share the Gift of Reading

Students Share the Gift of Reading

JOHNS CREEK, GA -- The students at Medlock Bridge Elementary School in Johns Creek work together every year to collect books for students at Roswell's Mimosa Elementary School.

For more than five years, Medlock Bridge has partnered with Mimosa to provide books for Mimosa students to take home and enjoy. Medlock Bridge students begin the collection during their book fair in November and deliver the books in February.

This year, over 2,500 new and gently used books were gathered -- enough for every student at Mimosa to have at least two.

This important project is organized by Medlock Bridge's student council and a group of parent volunteers. It's a wonderful way for Medlock Bridge students to stay connected with their friends at Mimosa Elementary.
