Concert in the Quarry 2010 to Benefit School Art, Music Programs

SUWANEE, GA -- Georgia's only concert event held 300 feet below ground, Concert in the Quarry, will be held on Saturday, Sept. 18 at 7:00 p.m. at the Martin Marietta Forsyth Quarry (3561 Peachtree Parkway, Suwanee, 30024).

Headline acts include Joe Gransden and his Big Band with Big Mike Geier in this fifth annual fundraising event that will benefit Forsyth County’s middle and high school arts and music programs. Master of ceremonies will once again be Scott Slade, host of Atlanta's Morning News on AM750 and now 95.5FM, Newstalk WSB. A special performance by Simple Alliance from Music Matters’ Rock U will start the concert, and a spectacular fireworks show will close it.

“With the budget constraints we are facing, a fundraising event like this is extremely important in maintaining our commitment to our Arts Programs,” said Forsyth County Superintendent of Schools Dr.
