Repairs, Lane Closure on Johns Creek Parkway

JOHNS CREEK, GA -- The Georgia Department of Transportation has closed a northbound lane of Johns Creek Parkway south of McGinnis Ferry Road through the holidays.

During installation of a storm drain, a contractor discovered an unmarked, paved-over manhole in the road. The lane was closed after metal plates over the hole failed to remain in place. Engineering plans are being revised.

Johns Creek officials advise of traffic delays on Johns Creek Parkway, especially during rush hour.
