JOHNS CREEK, Ga. -- There's real value in the "Doodle."

"It's first of all fun, said Christine Jeong.

She draws a lot, so she's a bit of an expert. You start with an outline, scribble in a few colors and before you know it, your doodle masterpiece could be worth $80,000.

"I was at first like, is that even possible?" she asked.

It's very possible for this sixth grader, thanks to Google. The website named her drawing, "The Galactic Express," best in Georgia. It's her second win in a row at the state level. All drawings are chosen by a blind vote at Google. The win gives her a chance to claim that $80,000 national prize that she missed last year.

She could win the national doodle by getting the most clicks online. If she does, River Trail Middle School in Johns Creek will win a $50,000 technology grant, and Jeong will receive a $30,000 scholarship. She's thinking she'd study computer design "so I could use my art skills and my knowledge of technology."

That's exactly what she did on her Google Doodle, by combining hand drawn colored pencil sketches with computer colorizing.
