ATLANTA -- Each week, American Family Insurance presents the metro Atlanta area's top 5 high school sports performances.  This week's top 5 come from high school basketball region tournament play.

Number 5 comes from the St. Pius vs. Decatur girls' final.  Asia Durr drove for the score and the Golden Lions captured the region championship with a 51-35 win.

Number 4 is from the Chattahoochee vs. Centennial boys' semifinal.  Marcos Terry's three-pointer caused the Knights to call for a time out.  The Cougars roared into the final with a 54-48 win.

Number 3 comes from the Woodward Academy vs. St Pius boys' final.  The loose ball ended up in the hands of Marcus Hall, who hit the jumper.  The War Eagles soared to the region title, 46-41.

Number 2 is from the Redan vs. Columbia girls' final.  Redan's Brea Elmore spun and scored, but the Eagles won the region crown, 49-46.

Dynamic Duo Leads The Way For Alpharetta Girls

ALPHARETTA, Ga. -- After winning 24 games last season, the Alpharetta girls are 22-4 this year.  Thanks to a pair of senior leaders the Lady Raiders have been posting impressive numbers all season long.

Just this week senior guard Lauren Brown reached the 1,000 point milestone for her career in the Lady Raiders victory over Johns Creek.  "She needed 11 points," says Alpharetta Girls Coach Michael House. "It was a very special moment."

Brown's milestone came a week and a half after fellow senior Kylee Smith topped the 2,000 point mark for her career.  It happened on Senior Night against South Forsyth.  The Vanderbilt signee was happy it happened in front of the home crowd. "I was super excited to be among family and friends," says Smith.  "I have played here since the 4th grade in Junior Raiders."

Kylee Smith has been nominated for McDonald's All American honors and will find out if she makes the team Thursday.

ALPHARETTA -- This week, No. 1 will face No. 2 when the four-time defending Class A state champion Wesleyan girls host the St. Francis girls.

Wesleyan has played for the state title eight years in a row, and has won the last four straight. The Lady Knights are 16-2 so far, after going 24-4 last season.  Three of St. Francis' four losses last year were to Wesleyan.
