2 dead, 2 hurt from same family in I-285 wreck

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. (WXIA) -- DeKalb County Police said two people were killed and two others from the same Johns Creek family hurt in a wreck that blocked all lanes of traffic on I-285 northbound near Memorial Drive Friday morning.

One of the two who died was only 10 years old.

Investigators said a 2007 Honda Odyssey rear-ended a 2007 Volvo tractor-trailer which had broken down in the roadway, trapping the SUV's occupants inside.

The female occupant of the Honda, Sri Susanto, 43, died at the scene. The driver, a 43-year-old man, was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital, and was listed Friday afternoon in fair condition.

The couple's 10-year-old son, Hubert Lim, was pronounced dead on arrival at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston. Another son, 13 years of age, was transported to Egleston and is expected to survive.

All lanes of traffic on the Perimeter were blocked at that point, but have since reopened.

The driver of the tractor-trailer was not hurt. The collision remains under investigation.
